STOP the lies — there already are cures for cancer. Breast cancer, along with other cancers, are being treated and cured successfully every day with alternative therapies, and have been for quite some time. But do big corporations and organizations like Susan G. Komen stand to profit off of those treatments? Of course not. So we aren’t hearing about them!
I’ll soon be sharing some of the more successful holistic, alternative cancer treatments (hint: most of them are centered around real food NUTRITION!) that have been curing patients without a single dose of chemotherapy or radiation. Or a pinkwashed product!
But even modern advancements in safe and effective cancer cures are being found — and thwarted by the FDA and the pharmaceutical giants (in which Komen has monetary stock, remember?) which support such government agencies.
I strongly encourage everyone to watch the documentary film, Burzynski the Movie: Cancer is Serious Business, for an incredibly eye-opening look into what happens when cancer cures are actually found (their creators are faced with a prison sentence!). The film documents the work of Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, a medical doctor and Ph.D. biochemist who has discovered the genetic mechanism that can cure most human cancers.
For a limited time, you can actually watch the film in its entirety online for free. Do it!
Prevention is the best cure
More importantly, what the medical establishment fails to recognize is that cancer is largely preventable. And Susan G. Komen for the Cure is no exception to such ignorance. There are no mentions of eating a healthy foods, getting proper levels of cancer-preventing Vitamin D, or cutting out sugar — the substance that feeds cancer cells — in any of their “public health education” efforts. Even though these are scientifically proven ways to prevent cancer.

Friday the 13th
Just got a call from Sparky's dad - they are coming home today instead of Sunday. I have to say my good-byes today at lunch. It's always sad to say good bye but I know I will get to see him again - he lives close by!!!
Great News - followup to the post I made on the 10th!! my mamo and sono came back no cancer detected!! woo hoo!! I am relieved and will continue to eat veggies, fruits and my smoothies. I want to stay Cancer free. With Triple Negative Stage 3A breast cancer there is a chance that cancer can return before the 5 yr mark but I will do all I can to keep it away.
I borrowed this artwork to celebrate my milestone.

Health Update
It’s time for the first Mamo and sonogram since I was told I had Breast Cancer! My left breast/armpit area–still tender. And, the spots that are not tender are completely numb. There is all kinds of action happening on my left side. And, of course me, being me - all this pain is TOTALLY CANCER AGAIN. I know it’s not (probably). I suspect that a part of me will always be waiting for the other shoe to drop. Every new ache, every new pain that I cannot immediately trace to a specific incident panics me a little. I hate admitting that, but I it is true but I am staying positive.
Last week, I lost my dear friend Tara Jackson to Stage 4 BC. Tara and I had been friends since 1997 (we met at a photo stock agency in NYC) and seriously, she was just amazing. We had kept in touch over the years via emails and phone calls. I’ve been thinking about her a lot this last month, wondering why she hasn’t called me back and I found out on Thursday she passed away at 2am.
As Pink sisters we are endangered. Take care ladies feel your boobies and be aware that cancer can hurt!! my left breast was sore - I thought i was a pulled muscle but mentioned it to my hematologist/oncologist anyway and here we are one year later ready for my first follow up mamo/sono after surgery for Stage 3A Breast Cancer!!!!

Loss of a Dear Friend
I found out yesterday a girlfriend and Pink Sister passed away. She was diagnosed in May of 2010 with Stage 4. We worked together in 1997 at Bruce Coleman in NYC and became great friends. Tara called me D - yesterday after I heard of her passing I kept hearing her voice in my head saying "hey D"- it was making me nuts and then while walking a dog last night I kept trying to get photos of the full moon with my cell phone - the last time I pulled the phone out it was on FB email between me and Tara (weird) I started reading those emails and noticed the times were 2hrs ago, 1 hr ago, 30 minutes ago - the one on 30 minutes said "D girl you know how much I love you!!!" then I heard her voice say " see I told you it was ok" and I felt this peace so I know she is ok now.
thank you sweet Tara for being there one last time for me so I would know it is OK and you love me.

April Showers bring May flowers
Hoping that is true - I am getting back into taking my floral photos and need some pretty flowers to photograph.
I have been thinking alot about my Cancer - having stage 3A - triple negative can be alot to handle but I am staying positive, trying to eat the correct foods (veggies and fruits only), and exercising. I will be thrilled to see the 5 year mark - when you have this type cancer there is a bigger chance it will come back!!!! Staying positive and keeping my photography going.
