Shoots for a Cure photographer

Darlene Cunnup Photography is helping ALL local cancer patients celebrate life with charitable photography sessions.

Any individual that has been diagnosed with cancer or completed treatment within the past 12 months qualifies for a Shoots for a Cure Session.  Sessions are available to document the fight before treatment, during treatment or to celebrate the victory when treatment is completed.

We are donating time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause.

There is no cost or obligation to the cancer patient.

Clients participating in a Shoots for a Cure Session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.

2 cats and their owner - Shoots for A Cure session

Today after a photo meet up - I went to photograph my friend and fellow cancer survivor Karen.  She wanted photos of herself and her 2 cats for Christmas photos.   I did her Session as a Shoots for a Cure session - we had a great time even though Monet (bw cat) did not want to have his photos taken.  I think we got some great ones.

Eat your Veggies and fruits

STOP the lies — there already are cures for cancer.   Breast cancer, along with other cancers, are being treated and cured successfully every day with alternative therapies, and have been for quite some time. But do big corporations and organizations like Susan G. Komen stand to profit off of those treatments?  Of course not. So we aren’t hearing about them!
 I’ll soon be sharing some of the more successful holistic, alternative cancer treatments (hint: most of them are centered around real food NUTRITION!) that have been curing patients without a single dose of chemotherapy or radiation. Or a pinkwashed product! But even modern advancements in safe and effective cancer cures are being found — and thwarted by the FDA and the pharmaceutical giants (in which Komen has monetary stock, remember?) which support such government agencies.
 I strongly encourage everyone to watch the documentary film, Burzynski the Movie: Cancer is Serious Business, for an incredibly eye-opening look into what happens when cancer cures are actually found (their creators are faced with a prison sentence!).  The film documents the work of Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, a medical doctor and Ph.D. biochemist who has discovered the genetic mechanism that can cure most human cancers.
For a limited time, you can actually watch the film in its entirety online for free. Do it! Prevention is the best cure More importantly, what the medical establishment fails to recognize is that cancer is largely preventable.  And Susan G. Komen for the Cure is no exception to such ignorance.  There are no mentions of eating a healthy foods, getting proper levels of cancer-preventing Vitamin D, or cutting out sugar — the substance that feeds cancer cells — in any of their “public health education” efforts. Even though these are scientifically proven ways to prevent cancer.

Darlene Cunnup Photography is excited to announce a partnership with Shoots for a Cure (formerly known as Think Pink Photography). Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause. Recently, we changed our name and our support. We now want to support ALL cancer patients, not just breast cancer.

Through our professional photographer network, we are helping cancer patients to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory by scheduling a session within 12 months after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the cancer patient. Clients participating in a Shoots for a Cure session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of 10 small prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.

To support the cause, we donate and fundraise for The American Cancer Society and the Susan G Komen Foundation. All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The American Cancer Society, the Susan G Komen Foundation, in our name, or used 100% for marketing and awareness of our program.

My little Hero

I am very sad to report that my little Hero passed away December 13 - RIP sweet baby. Saoirse was my inspiration as I dealt with my Breast Cancer.

Below is what was on the Danvers patch site about her:

At about 10 a.m. on Dec. 13, the Fitzgerald family shared with their friends and followers on Facebook the heartbreaking news, "Our baby has no more
pain today. She fought the whole way through."

Saoirse, Mike and Kezia Fitzgerald's 18-month-old daughter, passed away following a seven month battle with Neuroblastoma.
