Pet Sitting in Long Beach, NY

Last week I got a new client in Long Beach with 2 adorable dogs and an amazing cat.  The sunsets from that home were amazing and the walks I took with the dogs at the bay were amazing.

 

Busy and fighting a cold

January came out of no where and with it I got busy and I also caught a bad cold.

I had a actor headshot session, a family session, an event, a ceremony and 2 pet sitting jobs as well as my full time job to deal with.

2 cats and their owner - Shoots for A Cure session

Today after a photo meet up - I went to photograph my friend and fellow cancer survivor Karen.  She wanted photos of herself and her 2 cats for Christmas photos.   I did her Session as a Shoots for a Cure session - we had a great time even though Monet (bw cat) did not want to have his photos taken.  I think we got some great ones.

Sunrise and Goodbyes

Today was my last day of pet sitting with Lola  - the last day is always sad for me because I get so attached to my pet friends
I went out early to photograph the sunrise on the beach but realized with the cloudy sky it wouldn't be a good one so I only took my phone camera and played with a filter.

here's a photo of me and Lola on our morning walk - I had to carry her five blocks away from house then we would walk back to house - otherwise she wouldn't walk.  she was sure the family would return while we were out.  Lola will be so happy today when her family returns.

Pet Sitting in Long Beach, NY

I have been dog sitting with Lola since Saturday - she is such a good doggie - makes my job so easy
this is Lola in my car on the way to work with me Monday - she was so good at work - I have never taken a client to work with me but I knew Lola would be good.

when we got home we went for a short walk on the beach.

Tofu the Gecko

this photo is of Tofu.  I got to photograph him while visiting my friends in Mooresville, NC.  funny little creature. 
Tofu is very tiny he is a Gecko. 

Happy last day of Summer - tomorrow starts the cool days of autumn.  I love the fall weather and will be heading over to Long Beach to pet sit for Lola.   It should be great weather and I should be able to get some great photos of the beach, even though I am  not feeling well.

Sweet Lady - I will miss you

Just got a call I hate to get - my sweet doggie client Lady passed away today. She was 14 yrs old and had a very good life and family who loved her very much. I am so thankful that I got to pet sit for her one last time. Rest in Peace sweet Lady

I am redoing my website and while looking for photos I came across some I forgot I had taken.  I have got to get better with posting on my blog - I take photos everyday it's just finding the time to download and post.  I promise to get better.

Walking to Chemo session in October 2011 I saw the heart in the sidewalk and in Photoshop wrote LOVE

In April of this year I went with a friend to Philadelphia, PA and past the 5 Ptz on the way - its a building In LIC, NY that is nothing but art- Graffiti

This was taken at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, PA which was once the most famous and expensive prison in the world, but stands today in ruin, a haunting world of crumbling cell blocks and empty guard towers - I loved that the 2 Jewish men walked up to the walkway and were in my photo - they kind of look like prison guards with their hats on.

These sessions will be $100 (due at time of session) and will include a 30 minute photo session and up to 40 photos - you will be surprised how many we can take….
I will process them once I am back in NY and send you contact sheets, 5x7’s of my favorite ones and a CD of Hi-res 300 dpi edited images for you to take and have prints made anywhere.
I will also include a folder of 72 dpi jpgs for you to upload on FB, Myspace.com or send to family and friends.
