Pet Sitting

I got to spend 2 nights with this sweetie in Charlotte, NC

When I pet sitting  I feel like I get to relax and catch up on reading my favorite magazine.  I also get lots of exercise walking but Rocky's woks are short since he is older.

The view from Rocky's home was amazing he is one lucky pup and extra lucky to have his amazing mom.  I want to have her energy when I am 79.

Pet Sitting in South Carolina

These four pups were awesome - it wasn't easy saying goodbye this morning - even though I only stayed 1 night they won me over.
Not the greatest snap shot but I wanted them all together lol

Photography keeps me going

I find no matter what is going on in my life, as long as I have a camera, I can get through it.

I am always taking photos whether I am at work, at lunch with a co worker, pet sitting, dog walking, at home, on the train, in the car.....  I have this desire to take photos.  I find that it is my therapy.

Pet Sitting in Long Beach, NY

Last week I got a new client in Long Beach with 2 adorable dogs and an amazing cat.  The sunsets from that home were amazing and the walks I took with the dogs at the bay were amazing.

Happy Valentine's Day - Pet Sitting and Snow storm - oh my

I started a new Pet Sitting job last Friday and there was a snow storm - the town I am in go over 20 inches.
Seriously I am not pet sitting in January or February anymore - of course that's not true, if a client calls of course I will be there.
The dogs have enjoyed the snow and running in it but I didn't enjoy digging out of it and the neighbors aren't friendly where I am either.
To top it off the parrot attacked me when I forgot that I didn't need to open the door because the water bowl and other food bowls have special little doors.

Happy Valentine's Day - Heart in the snow
Saturday night after crazy day of shoveling snow that was past my knees
Sophie loved the snow

Nicholas in the Friday night snow - he could still walk in it

the snowflakes are falling FRiday 2/8

I could not get out front door on Saturday 2/9 morning

grabbed from TV scene from Seaside Heights, NJ - this roller coaster came off during Hurricane Sandy in Oct 2012

I had to walk through this waist deep snow to get to front walk to get snow from blocking the front door

Look at all that snow!!!!  I only lost Sophie 2 times in the deep parts!! ha!!

Finally ready to go inside

Waiting on Daddy's to come home - really watching for cats ha!!

Going to add this to my oil and water collection

Miss my favorite Pet Clients

Simba and Fluffy moved with their family to NC in 2009 - I really have days that I miss these babies terribly.  They are the sweetest dogs and when I go home to SC I try to run by to visit them - the photo below is a a photo I snapped on one of my visit to see my friend Cheryl and the doggies.
I hope to see them when I am home in March

Fluffy and Simba - miss these babies.

Sunrise and Goodbyes

Today was my last day of pet sitting with Lola  - the last day is always sad for me because I get so attached to my pet friends
I went out early to photograph the sunrise on the beach but realized with the cloudy sky it wouldn't be a good one so I only took my phone camera and played with a filter.

here's a photo of me and Lola on our morning walk - I had to carry her five blocks away from house then we would walk back to house - otherwise she wouldn't walk.  she was sure the family would return while we were out.  Lola will be so happy today when her family returns.

Sweet Lady - I will miss you

Just got a call I hate to get - my sweet doggie client Lady passed away today. She was 14 yrs old and had a very good life and family who loved her very much. I am so thankful that I got to pet sit for her one last time. Rest in Peace sweet Lady

Good Deeds

I am dog/bird/house sitting and had to run out early this morning to make it to an appt for a thyroid sonogram as I was going down a busy street I noticed a dog slowly limping across the street.  I had to stop and check on him/her.   My 2nd good deed of the week.
first one was burying a baby bird that had died - of course I took photos of it and was in such a state over the dog forgot to take his photos and Blue was gorgeous.

This is a photo of Morgan the dog I am pet sitting for - i will have to post cobber the bird at a later time
