Postcard Swap

I was part of the Liberate Your Art postcard swap thanks to Kat at Kateystudio.com!!  
It was a great experience for me because I got some beautiful postcards from some great women and emails from the ones who received my postcards.  It was extra special for me because I am on a journey through breast cancer right now and had started chemo when I was receiving some of the postcards so it help to get beautiful art in the mail on not so great days!!

  5. Beautiful cards, I found this to be an amazing project and have even connected (by sending more post cards) to those who I received cards from.
    I am hoping Kat does this again, cause I will be in.

    My mum survived breast cancer and just this past year went through lung cancer...she is with us still at 70 years young. I send healing energy and love to you. You received a postcard from me, (Daily Cup). I believe their are no coincidences, I hope you receive a Daily Cup of love, laughter and peace. Be well.

Thank you ladies so much for the wonderful comments - I have to say I was so out of it after Friday and with the hurricane prep we had to do at home - I didn't get to see as many blogs as I wanted to on Friday or over the weekend!!!! I will do it today while I am my 3rd chemo treatment - if I can get online with the iPad!!

  15. Hi Darlene, It is a pleasure meeting you through our postcard swap. Everyones creativity is so inspiring. I wanted to mention that I just read an article in our local paper about a photographer who went through cancer and a bone marrow transplant. He is having an exhibit of his photographs at a local museum, along with a catalog of his photos, journal entries and poems he wrote. He is going to donate portions of the sales to a bone marrow registry. His exhibit included photo's of meal trays, iv drips, etc. A quote of him in the paper said...
    "Taking pictures gave me a place to put all the confusing, chaotic, unpredictable forces that were working on me."

    I hope that your photography will give you pleasure and be an outlet for you as well.

    Will say a prayer for you and think lots of positive thoughts..
